Shaitaan: A Criminal Mind

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
Vikrant (real name Dhirendra Singh) is a journalist working for a newspaper in Lucknow (Newspaper AAJ – Uttar Pradesh). He lives with his wife, brother, and children. Vikrant is working on an important story and is about to expose some secrets when he suddenly goes missing. His mobile phone is switched off, prompting his wife and brother to file an FIR.

Even after six days, the police are unable to find any clues. One day, they discover a headless body in the Kakori area, around 15–16 kilometers from Lucknow. The police call Vikrant’s wife and brother to identify the body, but both insist that it does not belong to Vikrant.

The police begin investigating the projects Vikrant was working on, and some shocking truths emerge.

The case reveals the disturbing story of a predator named Badri Manohar (real name Raja Kalander, alias Ram Niranjan, 50). According to the case records, he was convicted of multiple serial killings and claimed to be an anthropophagous person (आदमखोर). Investigators alleged that he believed consuming parts of his victims would increase his intellectual abilities and make him more powerful.
