अचानक | All of a Sudden
भावना पांचाल एक गृहणी है, जो घर से ही एम्ब्रायडरी का काम करती है। उसके दो बच्चे हैं और वो रोज़ अपनी बेटी रचना को स्कूल बस तक छोड़ने और लेने अपनी स्कूटी से जाती है। इसी तरह एक दोपहर वो रचना को लेने अपने घर से निकलती है, मगर बीच रास्ते में कहीं गायब हो जाती है। रचना अपनी एक पड़ोसन के साथ घर आ जाती है, मगर भावना नहीं आती। पूरा दिन निकल जाता है और भावना का कोई पता नहीं चल पाता कि वो गई कहाँ। फोन करने पर पता चलता है कि वो अपना मोबाइल भी घर पर छोड़कर निकली थी।
भावना की मिसिंग रिपोर्ट पुलिस में लिखाई जाती है। दो दिन बीत जाते हैं और फिर पुलिस को कहीं दूर एक बुरी तरह से जली हुई लाश मिलती है। भावना के पति रमेश को लाश की शिनाख्त के लिए बुलाया जाता है। लाश बुरी तरह से जली हुई है, मगर रमेश ये कन्फर्म करता है कि लाश भावना की ही है।
रमेश पुलिस स्टेशन में ही है कि एक और पुलिस स्टेशन से फोन आता है कि उनको भावना के हुलिए से मिलती-जुलती एक औरत की लाश आठ टुकड़ों में मिली है और लाश के हाथ पर भावना के जैसे “जय माता रानी” गुदा हुआ है। रमेश उस पुलिस स्टेशन से दूसरे पुलिस स्टेशन पहुँचता है और लाश को देखकर ये कन्फर्म करता है कि लाश भावना की ही है।
पूरे मोहल्ले में इस निर्मम हत्या को लेकर गुस्सा है और ये गुस्सा पूरे शहर में फैलता है।
Bhawna Panchal (played by Dolphin Dubey) is a housewife who does embroidery work from home. She is the mother of two children and takes her younger daughter Rachna to and from her school bus every day on her scooty. Everything is going well until one day she leaves home to pick up Rachna from her school bus but does not return.
Rachna comes home with another woman who lives nearby. When Bhawna’s son calls her phone, they discover that she has left her phone at home. The entire day passes, but Bhawna does not return.
Her husband, Ramesh, files a missing-person complaint at the police station, but the police are unable to find any clue about her whereabouts. Two days pass, and Ramesh receives a phone call from a police station far from his home informing him that they have found a badly burnt dead body in a jungle.
Ramesh reaches the police station. The body is so badly burnt that the face is not recognizable, but Ramesh still confirms that the body is his wife Bhawna’s.
While Ramesh is waiting for the identification report, he receives another call from a different police station. They tell him that they have found the mutilated dead body of a woman whose hand has a tattoo reading “Jai Mata Rani.”
On reaching the police station, Ramesh is told that the body was divided into eight parts and found inside a gunny bag in a nullah near the police station. The face is recognizable, and Ramesh confirms that this is Bhawna’s dead body.
