2017 का सतत्तरवाँ केस | Case 77/2017
Anjali Rao, a 16-year-old college student from Belgaum, left home on her bicycle on the morning of November 2, 2017, for college. She never reached there. Her worried parents filed a missing complaint. The police discovered that Anjali had a secret phone, unknown to her parents, which she used to contact her friends and boyfriends.
Investigation revealed that Anjali was in an on-off relationship with several boys from her college, including Devendra, Abhishek, and others. A man named Naresh Chinawi, who worked at a mobile shop, lured Anjali by giving her a smartphone. He then convinced her to run away with him, promising marriage and a new life in Bangalore.
Instead, Naresh took Anjali to his friend Aadesh’s house in Belgaum. There, Aadesh’s wife Lakshmi, a medical store employee, drugged Anjali with adult hormones and painkillers, turning her into a “living corpse.” Naresh and Aadesh then attempted to sell her to a taxi driver named Purushottam Bhati for 90,000 rupees. Purushottam took Anjali to Barmer, Rajasthan, where she was sold again to a man named Sevak Meena for 20,000 rupees. Sevak forcibly married her to his son Sumit.
Police traced the fake SIM cards registered under a dead person’s name back to Naresh. After an extensive search across Goa, Rajasthan, and Karnataka, they rescued Anjali from Barmer and arrested all accused, including Naresh, Aadesh, Lakshmi, Purushottam, and the human traffickers.

जांच से पता चला कि अंजली के अपने कॉलेज के कई लड़कों के साथ संबंध थे, जिनमें देवेंद्र, अभिषेक और अन्य शामिल थे। नरेश चिनवई नाम का एक युवक, जो एक मोबाइल दुकान पर काम करता था, ने अंजली को एक स्मार्टफोन देकर अपने जाल में फंसाया। फिर उसने उसे शादी और बैंगलोर में नई जिंदगी का झूठा वादा करके अपने साथ भागने को राजी कर लिया।
लेकिन नरेश अंजली को बैंगलोर नहीं ले गया। वह उसे बेलगाम में अपने दोस्त आदेश रायकर के घर ले आया। वहां आदेश की पत्नी लक्ष्मी, जो एक मेडिकल स्टोर पर काम करती थी, ने अंजली को एडल्ट हार्मोन्स और पेनकिलर दवाइयां खिलाकर उसे “जिंदा लाश” बना दिया। नरेश और आदेश ने उसे 90,000 रुपये में एक टैक्सी ड्राइवर पुरुषोत्तम भाटी को बेचने की कोशिश की।
पुरुषोत्तम अंजली को राजस्थान के बाड़मेर ले गया, जहां उसे आगे 20,000 रुपये में सेवक मीना नाम के व्यक्ति को बेच दिया गया। सेवक ने अंजली का अपने बेटे सुमित से जबरन विवाह कर दिया। पुलिस ने एक मृत व्यक्ति के नाम पर जारी फर्जी सिम कार्ड के माध्यम से नरेश तक पहुंच बनाई। गोवा, राजस्थान और कर्नाटक में व्यापक तलाश के बाद, पुलिस ने अंजली को बाड़मेर से बचा लिया। नरेश, आदेश, लक्ष्मी, पुरुषोत्तम और मानव तस्करों सहित सभी आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया।
