Abhay has developed an addiction to online video games. Despite being very intelligent and performing well in the past, his grades have started to decline in his current class. One day, when his father is out of town on a business trip, Abhay’s class teacher complains to his mother during a parent-teacher meeting that his grades are consistently getting worse and he is not paying attention to his studies.

Abhay’s mother becomes so angry with him that one day she hits him and takes away his mobile phone. Abhay repeatedly asks his mother to return his phone, but she refuses. Abhay doesn’t seem to realize the severity of his mistake and is so obsessed with the game that he cannot stop thinking about it, even to the extent of harming his mother.

अभय को ऑनलाइन वीडियो गेम्स की लत लग गई है। कभी बहुत मेधावी रहे इस बच्चे के क्लास में मार्क्स अब कम आने लगे हैं। एक दिन जब उसके पापा अपनी बिज़नेस ट्रिप पर शहर से बाहर गए हुए हैं, उसकी पैरेंट्स टीचर मीटिंग में उसकी मम्मी को बुलाया जाता है। मीटिंग के दौरान उसकी क्लास टीचर उसकी मम्मी से अभय के बारे में शिकायत करती हैं और बताती हैं कि उसके नंबर दिन पर दिन कम होते जा रहे हैं। वह पढ़ाई पर ध्यान नहीं दे रहा है।

अभय की मम्मी को उस पर इतना अधिक गुस्सा आता है कि एक दिन वह अभय को मारती हैं और उसका मोबाइल छीन लेती हैं। अभय बार-बार अपना मोबाइल मांगता है मगर वह उसे वापस नहीं करतीं। अभय को अपनी गलती का ज़रा भी एहसास नहीं है। उसके अंदर गेम का इतना अधिक ऑब्सेशन है कि वह अपनी मम्मी को मारने तक के बारे में सोचने लगता है। 24 जनवरी की रात वह चाकू और गुलदस्ते की मदद से अपनी माँ और छोटे भाई की बेरहमी से हत्या कर देता है और घर से पैसे लेकर भाग जाता है।

पुलिस को शुरू से ही अभय पर शक है क्योंकि उस समय घर में सिर्फ तीन लोग थे—दो की हत्या हुई और तीसरा, अभय, गायब है।

INSIDE STORY

The incident that occurred in 2022 shocked the entire nation. This event took place in June 2022 in Yamunapuram, under the jurisdiction of PG Thana in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Here, Sadhna, a 40-year-old woman, lived with her 17-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter.

Sadhna’s husband, Navin Singh, was an Army officer based in Kolkata. Her son had developed a troubling habit of playing PUBG excessively, causing distress to his mother. When she tried to stop him, it often led to arguments. However, being a mother, she always tried to guide him.

Frustrated by the ongoing arguments and distressed over her son’s behavior, one day Sadhna took her father’s licensed revolver and shot her younger sister in front of her son, committing murder. After the incident, she locked the body in another room and threatened her son not to reveal the truth.

After the murder, the body was hidden in the house for three days. As the odor began to spread, she used room fresheners and told neighbors that her mother had gone to her uncle’s house. When the smell became unbearable, she informed her father that someone had killed her mother.
