The Scapegoat
Navin drops off his younger brother Prithvi at their tuition master Shankar's house. A few hours later, when Prithvi's mother goes to pick him up from tuition, she finds out that he never went there. The police are informed and an investigation begins. The first suspect is Navin, who claims that he left Prithvi at the entrance of Shankar's house, as he had promised to go inside by himself.

Prithvi's parents also suspect Navin, and the police suspect him as well because there is already tension between the families. After Prithvi's grandfather's death, a large portion of the property was transferred to Prithvi's name, with nothing in Navin's name. Before Navin accepts the truth, the police beat him brutally, but he still sticks to his statement.

Meanwhile, Shankar is also considered a suspect by the police, but he denies any involvement with complete confidence. Shankar lives with his wife, younger brother, sister-in-law, and their son Vivek. Shankar scolds Vivek for wasting his time playing with friends, which has caused him to fail twice in the 10th grade. Shankar tries to help him improve.
Some time later, Prithvi's homework note is found hanging from a tree near his house. The police investigate and find a message written in Hindi demanding ten lakhs (one million) rupees. Before this, Prithvi's father had revealed that Shankar had previously demanded a loan of fifteen lakhs (one and a half million) rupees, which they had refused. The police arrive at Shankar's house with a search warrant.
During the search, the police find Prithvi's body in Shankar's storage room. Shankar and his wife Rupa are arrested, and the investigation begins. During the investigation, the police also find out that Vivek had once attempted su!c!de due to Shankar's constant scolding. Shankar admits that Vivek had stolen one thousand rupees from him, after which he had beaten him up.
नवीन अपने चचेरे भाई पृथ्वी को उनके ट्यूशन मास्टर के घर छोड़ता है। कुछ घंटों बाद, जब पृथ्वी की मां उसे ट्यूशन से लेने जाती हैं, तो उन्हें पता चलता है कि उनका बच्चा ट्यूशन के लिए गया ही नहीं है। जल्द ही पुलिस को बता कर जाँच शुरू की जाती है। पहला संदिग्ध नवीन होता है, नवीन बताता है कि उसने पृथ्वी को शंकर (ट्यूशन मास्टर) के घर के प्रवेश द्वार पर ही छोड़ दिया था क्योंकि उसने बोला था कि वह ख़ुद अंदर चला जायेगा।
पृथ्वी के माता-पिता का शक भी नवीन की ओर है और पुलिस का पूरा शक यही है कि नवीन अपराधी है क्योंकि उनके बीच परिवारिक तनाव भी है। उनके दादा की मृत्यु के बाद, प्रॉपर्टी का बड़ा हिस्सा पृथ्वी के नाम लिखा गया था और नवीन के नाम कुछ नहीं था। इससे पहले कि नवीन सच्चाई स्वीकार कर ले, पुलिस उसे बर्बरता से पीटती है लेकिन वह अपने बयान से नहीं हटता है।
इस दौरान, पुलिस शंकर को भी संदिग्ध मानती है, लेकिन वह पूरे कॉन्फिडेंस के साथ इनकार करते है। शंकर अपनी पत्नी,छोटे भाई, भाभी और उनके बेटे विवेक के साथ रहते है। शंकर विवेक को अपने दोस्तों के साथ खेलने में समय बरबाद कर रहा होता है जिसके कारण वह उसे डाँटते है। वो दसवीं कक्षा में दो बार फेल हो चुका है, शंकर उसे सुधारने का प्रयास करते है।
कुछ समय बाद, पृथ्वी के घर के माली को उसके होमवर्क का नोट एक पेड़ के नीचे लटकता हुआ दिखाई देता है। पुलिस जाँच करती है और एक हिंदी में लिखा हुआ संदेश मिलता है, जिसमें की दस लाख मांगे गये हैं। इससे पहले पृथ्वी के पिता ने बताया था कि शंकर ने पहले 15 लाख का कर्ज मांगा था, जिसे उन्होंने अस्वीकार कर दिया था। पुलिस सर्च वारंट के साथ शंकर के घर पहुचती है।
घर की तलाशी लेने पर पुलिस को पृथ्वी की बॉडी शंकर के स्टोर रूम में मिलती है। पुलिस शंकर और उनकी पत्नी रूपा को अरेस्ट करती है और जाँच शुरू कर देती है। जाँच के दौरान पुलिस को ये भी पता चलता है कि विवेक ने एक बार शंकर की डाँट-मार से तंग आकर सुसाइड की कोशिश भी की थी। शंकर बताते हैं की हाँ ये सच है कि एक बार विवेक ने शंकर के पास से १००० रुपये चुराये थे जिसके बाद उन्होंने विवेक की पिटाई कि थी।

Gorakh Yadav had three daughters, Kavita, Riya, and Srishti, and one son, Sanskar. On July 6, 2022, their six-year-old son Sanskar went missing after leaving for tuition. The family and concerned locals began searching for the child, leading to a discovery near the home of a tuition teacher in a field. They found Sanskar's notebooks scattered and a letter demanding a ransom of 5 lakh rupees in exchange for his release. The family immediately reported this to the police.
Sanskar used to go for private tuition at the house of a 60-year-old tutor named Narsingh Sharma in their village. However, on a Wednesday evening, he didn't return from tuition. A visit to the coaching center revealed that Sanskar hadn't attended that day. Upon questioning, Narsingh Sharma and his grandson Arun Sharma became suspicious.
