Karan Solanki lost his cellphone while he was at home. He kept calling it repeatedly, but it was nowhere to be found. He was sure that he had misplaced it because, if it had been stolen, it would have been switched off. After many attempts, someone finally answered the call and told him to come and collect his phone, which had supposedly been found by his nephew. Karan asked for his name, but the man avoided answering and disconnected the call. Karan went to meet them at an isolated place, where instead of returning the phone, the young man he had spoken to attacked Karan with a large knife and killed him.
Karan was the elder of Chandrakant and Falguni Solanki’s two sons. During the initial investigation, the police learned that Karan’s married life had never been stable and that he had divorced two of his wives. Karan was also very rude to his father, Chandrakant, and often insulted him when asking for pocket money.
