The story begins with a young woman browsing books in a library before selecting a novel titled The Vicious Circle.
Meanwhile, a man named Vaibhav becomes obsessed with a saleswoman named Prajakta, who works in a large clothing showroom. He visits the store several times a week and insists on purchasing clothes only from her.
After some time, Prajakta suddenly disappears. Her brother files a missing person complaint and informs the police that she is married, has a child, and lives with a husband who struggles with alcoholism and neglects her.
A friend of Prajakta from the showroom tells the police that a man frequently visited the store and only interacted with Prajakta. Investigators review CCTV footage and identify him as Vaibhav.

Prajakta’s phone records lead police to Vaibhav’s number. They discover that his full name is Vaibhav Prasad and that he is also married with a child. However, the investigation takes an unexpected turn when officers learn that Vaibhav himself has been reported missing at another police station.
कहानी शुरू होती है एक लड़की से, जो लाइब्रेरी में किताबें देख रही होती है और फिर ‘द विशियस सर्किल’ नाम की किताब पढ़ने के लिए चुनती है।
दूसरी ओर, वैभव नाम का एक युवक एक बड़े कपड़ों के शोरूम में काम करने वाली प्राजक्ता का पीछा करता रहता है। वह बार-बार शोरूम में आता है और केवल उसी से कपड़े खरीदता है।
कुछ समय बाद प्राजक्ता अचानक गायब हो जाती है। उसका भाई पुलिस में शिकायत दर्ज कराता है और बताता है कि वह शादीशुदा है, एक बच्चे की मां है, और उसका पति शराब का आदी है जो उसकी परवाह नहीं करता।
प्राजक्ता की सहकर्मी पुलिस को बताती है कि एक युवक अक्सर शोरूम में आता था और सिर्फ प्राजक्ता से ही खरीदारी करता था। पुलिस सीसीटीवी फुटेज की मदद से उसकी पहचान वैभव के रूप में करती है।
जब पुलिस प्राजक्ता के फोन रिकॉर्ड खंगालती है, तो उन्हें वैभव का नंबर मिलता है। जांच में पता चलता है कि वैभव प्रसाद भी शादीशुदा है और एक बच्चे का पिता है। लेकिन पुलिस को तब बड़ा झटका लगता है जब उन्हें पता चलता है कि वैभव भी लापता है और उसकी गुमशुदगी की रिपोर्ट किसी दूसरे पुलिस स्टेशन में दर्ज है।
