This story revolves around five friends who have come to Goa to celebrate New Year’s Eve. The names of these five friends are Ashima, Basant, Raunak, Sandeep, and Naina. Ashima and Sandeep are in a relationship, while Raunak and Naina’s relationship is not going well. Basant is trying to attract Naina’s attention at the New Year’s party, but she likes Raunak. In the next scene, we see Naina falling from the balcony of the guesthouse, and this is where the twist in the story begins.

During the police investigation, all the friends deny seeing Naina going to the balcony. As all the friends’ statements match, the police suspect that Naina might have fallen from the balcony under the influence of alcohol. However, the autopsy report reveals that Naina was first strangled to death and then thrown off the balcony.

During the investigation, the police also discover the involvement of an outsider. Still, the owner of the guesthouse claims that the guesthouse door is automatic and cannot be opened from the outside without a key, and only they have a duplicate key.

ये कहानी ५ दोस्तों पर फोकस करती है जो कि गोवा में नए साल की पार्टी मनाने आए हैं। इन पाँचों के नाम हैं आशिमा, बसंत, रौनक़, संदीप और नैना। आशिमा और संदीप रिलेशनशिप में हैं जबकि रौनक़ और नैना के बीच संबंध अच्छे नहीं हैं। नए साल की पार्टी में बसंत नैना का ध्यान आकर्षित करने की कोशिश कर रहा है लेकिन नैना रौनक़ को पसंद करती है। इसके बाद अगले सीन में हम देखते हैं कि नैना गेस्टहाउस की बालकनी से गिर रही है और यहीं से कहानी में ट्विस्ट आता है।

पुलिस की जाँच के दौरान सभी दोस्त इस बात से इनकार करते हैं कि उन्होंने नैना को बालकनी में जाते हुए देखा था। सभी दोस्तों के बयान मिल रहे हैं इसलिए पुलिस का शक इस तरफ़ जाता है कि नैना शराब के नशे में बालकनी से फिसल गई होगी मगर ऑटोप्सी रिपोर्ट एक नया खुलासा करती है कि नैना को पहले गला दबाकर मारा गया फिर बालकनी से नीचे गिराया गया।

इन्वेस्टिगेशन के दौरान पुलिस को एक बाहरी व्यक्ति का इन्वॉल्वमेंट भी नज़र आता है मगर गेस्टहाउस के मालिक का कहना है कि गेस्टहाउस का दरवाज़ा ऑटोमैटिक है और अंदर से बंद होने के बाद वो बाहर से बिना चाबी के नहीं खोला जा सकता और इसकी डुप्लीकेट चाबियाँ उन्हीं के पास हैं।

Inside Story

Jahnavi Kukreja was found lifeless on the ground floor of Bhagwati Society in the Khar area on the morning of January 1st. She was severely injured and covered in blood, and it was initially estimated that she might have fallen from the stairs in an intoxicated state.

On the night of December 31st, Jahnavi had gone to celebrate the New Year’s party with her friends. December 31st was also her father Samir Kukreja’s birthday, which she celebrated enthusiastically by cutting a cake at 7 PM. Jahnavi did not really feel like going to the New Year’s party, but due to her friend Dia’s insistence, she attended the party.

Dia lived near Jahnavi’s home, and they had been close friends since childhood. They studied together, and their common group of friends was well known. Among their friends, Yash had organized the New Year’s party at his place, and upon Yash and Dia’s insistence, Jahnavi was also invited to join. Yash and Dia assured Jahnavi that it would only be for a short while and she would return home soon.

After a lot of convincing from Yash’s family, Jahnavi’s family allowed her to leave. On her way out, she hugged her parents, assuring them that she would return soon.

The following day, at around 5 AM, Jahnavi’s father received a call directly from the police station instructing him to reach the station immediately. He was informed that an accident had occurred involving Jahnavi and Dia. They also mentioned that Dia was admitted to Hinduja Hospital, while Jahnavi was admitted to Bhabha Hospital. It seemed strange to Jahnavi’s father that if the accident had happened together, why were both girls admitted to different hospitals.

Upon reaching the police station, the news that unfolded was the most painful moment of their lives. The police informed them that Jahnavi had passed away, and the post-mortem report would reveal how the incident had occurred.
