Navin drops his younger brother, Prithvi, at the house of their tuition teacher, Shankar. A few hours later, when Prithvi’s mother arrives to pick him up, she discovers that he never attended the tuition class. The family immediately informs the police, and an investigation begins.
The first suspect is Navin, who claims that he left Prithvi at the entrance of Shankar’s house because Prithvi insisted he could go inside on his own.

Prithvi’s parents also suspect Navin, and the police focus on him due to existing family tensions. After the death of Prithvi’s grandfather, a large share of the family property was transferred to Prithvi’s name, while Navin received nothing. Despite intense questioning and pressure from investigators, Navin continues to maintain his innocence.

Meanwhile, the police also consider Shankar a suspect, but he confidently denies any involvement. Shankar lives with his wife, younger brother, sister-in-law, and their son Vivek. Concerned about Vivek’s future after he failed Class 10 twice, Shankar frequently scolds him for spending too much time with friends.
Some time later, Prithvi’s homework notebook is discovered hanging from a tree near his house. Investigators recover a ransom note demanding ₹10 lakh. Earlier, Prithvi’s father had disclosed that Shankar had once requested a loan of ₹15 lakh, which the family refused. This revelation further strengthens police suspicion.
The police obtain a search warrant and raid Shankar’s house.
During the search, officers make a shocking discovery—Prithvi’s body is found inside Shankar’s storage room. Shankar and his wife, Rupa, are immediately arrested.
As the investigation progresses, police learn that Vivek had once attempted suicide due to the pressure and punishment he faced at home. Shankar admits that he had beaten Vivek after discovering that he had stolen ₹1,000.

पुलिस का पहला शक नवीन पर जाता है। नवीन का कहना है कि उसने पृथ्वी को शंकर के घर के बाहर छोड़ा था और पृथ्वी ने कहा था कि वह खुद अंदर चला जाएगा।
पृथ्वी के माता-पिता भी नवीन पर शक करते हैं क्योंकि परिवार में पहले से तनाव था। दादा की मृत्यु के बाद अधिकांश संपत्ति पृथ्वी के नाम कर दी गई थी, जबकि नवीन को कुछ नहीं मिला था। पुलिस भी इसी वजह से उस पर संदेह करती है, लेकिन वह लगातार अपनी बेगुनाही पर कायम रहता है।
इस बीच पुलिस शंकर पर भी शक करती है। शंकर अपनी पत्नी, छोटे भाई, भाभी और उनके बेटे विवेक के साथ रहता है। विवेक दो बार दसवीं कक्षा में असफल हो चुका है, इसलिए शंकर उसे अक्सर डांटता रहता है और पढ़ाई पर ध्यान देने की सलाह देता है।
कुछ समय बाद पृथ्वी की कॉपी एक पेड़ से लटकती हुई मिलती है। उसके साथ एक पत्र भी मिलता है जिसमें दस लाख रुपये की फिरौती मांगी गई होती है। पृथ्वी के पिता बताते हैं कि शंकर पहले उनसे पंद्रह लाख रुपये का कर्ज मांग चुका था, जिसे उन्होंने देने से मना कर दिया था।
पुलिस तलाशी वारंट लेकर शंकर के घर पहुंचती है और वहां पृथ्वी का शव बरामद करती है। इसके बाद शंकर और उसकी पत्नी रूपा को गिरफ्तार कर लिया जाता है।
Inside Story
This episode is inspired by a real incident from 2022 involving six-year-old Sanskar Yadav. Sanskar went missing after leaving for tuition classes, prompting an extensive search by his family and local residents.
During the search, notebooks belonging to the child and a ransom note demanding ₹5 lakh were discovered near a field close to the tuition teacher’s residence. The family immediately informed the police.
Investigators learned that Sanskar attended private tuition classes conducted by a 60-year-old tutor named Narsingh Sharma. When officers questioned Narsingh Sharma and his grandson Arun Sharma, inconsistencies in their statements raised suspicion and became a major focus of the investigation.
